Important Exam Preparation Techniques
One way to prepare for exams is to start revising early at least 2 months before any major exams. During this revision period one should focus on what areas of the subject you are weak in and thoroughly analyze them. Once the student identifies the areas they are weak in, they should practice questions that aid students get better in those weak areas. One should also set small, realistic time frames for the work they do in the subject , allotting more time for more rigorous questions.
When scheduling revision timings, it is important that one does not overplan and leaves 20 mins of rest time every 2 or 3 hours. Do not attempt to continuously revise a subject for more than 2 hours.
While preparing for exams it is important to keep track of the work you do daily and ask tutors or experienced teachers for solutions to any questions that you are stuck on or cannot do. This will greatly reduce the effort needed one needs to put in to be a top scorer.
It is also important to lead a healthy lifestyle by exercising at least 30 mins a day and waking up and sleeping early, preferably before midnight. Lastly, it is imperative to have set small and reasonable milestones to achieve and celebrate each one after it is accomplished. It is worth noting that having a good attitude and trying one’s best will naturally produce good results. Furthermore, one shouldn’t panic when making mistakes or failing exams, instead analyze the mistakes and work towards not repeating them.
